I've been helping fulfill travel dreams since January 2013, starting out as a Scandinavian escorted tour specialist. In December 2013 I relocated to Aberdeen, SD to work for Travel Leaders. I keep up to date on the latest travel trends, destination and supplier news and take continual education classes and seminars such as MLT U (Delta Vacations) so I can better inform my clients of the best options to meet their needs. In April 2018 I visited Hawaiian paradise! I split my time between the equally beautiful islands of Oahu and Maui. While in Honolulu/Oahu I went on many adventures including a visit to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and paid my respects to the lives lost there on December 7, 1941, drove up to the North Shore and watched the surfers at the Banzai pipeline, and visited Kualoa Ranch home of the movie Jurassic Park and other movies. While in Maui I attended the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui, took a drive on the famous Hana Road, visited the "Needle" at Iao Valley State Park and went on a sunset cruise along the Kaanapali shoreline.
The long flight from Minneapolis is definitely worth it as Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous and the locals are very friendly and treat you like family. I saw beautiful sunsets, beaches, rain forests, and ate wonderful cuisine!! I'm now of the belief everyone should go to Hawaii at least once in their lifetime.
