I've been helping fulfill travel dreams since January 2013, starting out as a Scandinavian escorted tour specialist. In December 2013 I relocated to Aberdeen, SD to work for Travel Leaders. I keep up to date on the latest travel trends, destination and supplier news and take continual education classes and seminars such as MLT U (Delta Vacations) so I can better inform my clients of the best options to meet their needs. Sept 2023 I went to Alaska for the first time for a cruisetour with Princess. Spent two nights in Anchorage and toured city in a trolley. Went up to Denali National Park and stayed at the Denali Princess Lodge for three nights. While in Denali I went river rafting, took in a dinner show, went on a chuckwagon supper, and toured the park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Embarkation Day I took the Direct to the Wilderness Train down to Whitter and boarded the Majestic Princess.
While on the ship I ate delicious food, listened to the Park Rangers give a talk on Alaska, made a little money in the casino, took in a concert, and saw the Glaciers in the Bay up close.
In port I saw Mendenhall Glacier, toured Juneau, visited a salmon hatchery, ate barbeque, visited a Saxman Village, and shopped til I dropped in Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan. If you love the mountains, lakes, rivers, and wildlife Alaska is for you!
